Pathway is no more. Many ex-straightlings have gotten together to protest, I've not been able to. In the last year many of us got a wild hair to research Straight, 20 years after. I was there in 89'-90'. It's time we got together for the sake of getting together, not for a protest, just a healing reunion, to know that we are not alone. anyone interested, contact me- Tom Marshall

I now remember Wes and his son Bill, as I was in Straight Inc. in 1989 and stayed with them briefly. I was there for 4 days short of a year. If anone can help me get in touch with "Dylan" that he wrote about, it would mean a lot to me. Thank you Bill for all the hard work you've done for us!

I knew I was screwed when I saw how Newton had my dad hood-winked. My dad was a Green Beret Master Sergeant. I complied, lied and turned my eye. Made it out in about a year.

Connections Between ASAM, Federation of Physicians Health Programs and Sex Addiction

Please use this information for your advocacy to Stop Child Abuse in Residential Treatment Centers

I believe the Doctors who allow this abuse to flourish should be held accountable.

The System of Quality Assurance Review now in the United States is controlled by the Federation of State Physicians Health Programs which are made up of Doctors from ranks of the FASAM. This means that they can brutally retaliate against any Therapist, Psychologist, Social Worker, or Psychiatrist who reports their abuse. The Federation of State Physicians Health Programs is currently the investigative arm of the State Health Departments and it is the State Physician Health Program which can force any whistleblowing doctor into their abusive "monitoring" program. The secret contract between the State Medical Boards and the State Physician Health Program gives them quasi governmental status which then shields them from any criminal culpability by affording these abusive doctors total immunity for their actions.

Please be aware that the Doctors below that belong to the ASAM and The Federation of State Physicians Health Programs are involved with SEX ADDICTION TREATMENT and included in this list are confirmed sex addicts who then prey on targeted Doctors referred to them by the Medical Boards. Look at this list carefully and see if you recognize anyone who was involved in any case you know about. These are abusive doctors with severe personality disorders who have violated medical ethics many times and have been cited as abusers of Human Rights in front of the United Nations World Court in 2003 (Straight Inc case). The Doctors at the Menninger Clinic in Topeka Kansas when they heard that the US government might actually investigate them in 2003 - choose to immediately close their Kansas clinic and airlifted the patients to Houston Texas where they were protected by the Governor and President of the US, George Bush.
George Bush was an alcoholic who as a Professional needed his alcoholism history cleaned up before he could effectively campaign to be Governor of Texas and then President of the United States. - There was no better way to do that than by turning one's rehabilitation over to the ASAM Doctors and a program like the Professional Renewal Center. In exchange for services rendered the FASAM Doctors got a favorable climate in Texas to do their abusive form of "treatment" and to make lots of money to give in campaign contributions. They got lucrative contracts to do rehabilitation on Teens with substance abuse problems. They got contracts to handle the psychiatric needs of prisoners including using prisoners as guinea pigs for dangerous SSRI drugs in clinical trials. They got legislation that protected them from any law suits about their malpractice or abuse and they got control of the supervision and oversight of every medical doctor in the state of Texas through the Peer Review System which was run by ASAM's founder George Douglas Talbott. George Talbott then proceeded to try to force the Texas system on every other state including the Texas Medical Algorithm Project which used Federal and State funds to push Pharmaceutical clinical trials on prisoners, school children and all welfare recipients. This made the ASAM based Doctors very rich and they subsequently donated very heavily to political campaigns that encouraged payment of expensive pharmaceuticals by the taxpayer. This meant that the former drunks, drug addicts, gamblers and sex addicts had a powerful political ally in the Pharmaceutical industry.
The longtime Bush family friend Melvin Sembler who was in charge of a chain of Straight Inc. abusive substance abuse treatment centers was given the position of Ambassador to Italy and diplomatic immunity to move materials in a diplomatic pouch right at the time when the Straight survivors were pushing their cases for damages for psychological abuse in the various US Courts. The money belonging to the Straight Inc. disappeared overnight. The President of the Straight Inc board, Melvin Sembler gave no explanation. When he was charged with Human Rights abuses in front of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Italian government no longer wanted him as Ambassador, he was reassigned by President Bush as Ambassador to Australia. The Judges who awarded the injured patients millions of dollars in punitive damages were unable to find any money at all in the Straight Inc account - all the money had miraculously disappeared into a complex shell game of mortgages and off shore bank accounts. FBI agents in many states were unable to unravel the complex financial money laundering that prevented the Straight Inc survivors from getting the judgments ordered by the Courts. The United States Congress was again amazed that the pattern of abuse so clearly evident in the Congressional investigation of the SEED was again repeated by the STAIGHT INC. and with no clear punishment of the perpetrators involved.
You may have wondered why so many of the young teenagers caught in this abusive system were sexually molested in their rehabilitation centers, the doctors given these plum assignments were former drug addicts, alcoholics and even sex addicts who were given access to vulnerable children in a lock down ward where sexual abuse of the inmates was easy and silence of the victim necessary for survival. Dr. Richard Irons MD, Sex Addictionist and self proclaimed sex addict who got his credentials from the ASAM and is now in charge of the Professional Renewal Center - With FASAM fake board certification and clean up of his record of sex addiction, they were able to set up a psychiatric center to treat sex offenders in the professions - this includes MD's as well as JD's including Judges and even FBI agents. This was fake treatment for sexual addiction problems, giving the person some other problem and then "monitoring" them as disabled. This sham organization was able to clean up a person's sexual past for a hefty fee. If one is accused of being a sex addict, then this program was perfect for the high level professional with lots of money who wants to hide a dirty past. This was a very lucrative business and is run currently by the Professional Renewal Center in Lawrence, KS Most therapists and reputable psychiatrists and psychologists admit that sexual compulsive disorder is not really treatable, however sex addicts were miraculously cured in the ASAM, Physicians Health Programs sponsored Professional Renewal Center. Dr. Richard Irons MD was a founding member of the ASAM Federation in 1996 and is a self confessed sex addict. Now who is monitoring him, when he works with patients. Would you want a sex addict treating you????????? The important area to investigate is how did Dr. Richard Irons get his own history of sexually offensive behavior cleaned up.
900 clients from 48 states in the United States, four Canadian provinces, and Hong Kong have come to the Professional Renewal Center® for assessment and treatment. And you wondered where all the sex addicts disappear to????????????

The Menninger Clinic
2801 Gessner Drive
Houston, TX 77080

The Menninger Clinic originally in Topeka KS was closely tied to the ASAM and used FASAM Board certification of their doctors. In 2003 when Former ASAM President of the Board of Straight, Inc., Melvin Sembler was accused by the Straight Survivors of Crimes against the Human Rights at the level of the World Criminal Court (United Nations) of over 200 Canadian Citizens , the Menninger clinic promptly closed it doors in Kansas and airlifted its patients to a new facility in Houston Texas. Patients were transferred from Topeka, Kansas to Houston, Texas on a chartered flight on May 31, 2003. Menninger opened its doors in Houston in June, 2003, with 28 patients making the trip from Kansas to continue their treatment in Houston. In the first eight days of operation, 33 additional patients were admitted, more than doubling patient census. Now, I wonder how many of those patients were so heavily sedated that they were never able to protest this move from one state to another by airplane. How many were sex addicts in treatment? How many were Doctors forced by their Medical Boards into ASAM care??? Clinical training programs resumed. Those pesky law suits brought by Straight patients regarding abuse and neglect and even psychological torture just disappeared in the wake of the public's pronouncement of George Bush as President of the United States. Notice that FASAM is not a accepted program by the Board that licenses Medical Board Certifications which require training at a licensed Medical School in a University Setting. The Menninger Clinic and the SEX ADDICTION program by Dr. Richard Irons MD is still in practice with a referral service from Lawrence, Kansas.
ASAM Federation

Connections Between ASAM, Federation of Physicians Health Programs and Sex Addiction

Please use this information for your advocacy to Stop Child Abuse in Residential Treatment Centers

I believe the Doctors who allow this abuse to flourish should be held accountable.

The System of Quality Assurance Review now in the United States is controlled by the Federation of State Physicians Health Programs which are made up of Doctors from ranks of the FASAM. This means that they can brutally retaliate against any Therapist, Psychologist, Social Worker, or Psychiatrist who reports their abuse. The Federation of State Physicians Health Programs is currently the investigative arm of the State Health Departments and it is the State Physician Health Program which can force any whistleblowing doctor into their abusive “monitoring” program.

The Doctors at the Menninger Clinic in Topeka Kansas when they heard that the US government might actually investigate them in 2003 – choose to immediately close their Kansas clinic and airlifted the patients to Houston Texas where they were protected by the Governor and President of the US, George Bush.
George Bush was an alcoholic who as a Professional needed his alcoholism history cleaned up before he could effectively campaign to be Governor of Texas and then President of the United States. – There was no better way to do that than by turning one’s rehabilitation over to the ASAM Doctors and a program like the Professional Renewal Center. In exchange for services rendered the FASAM Doctors got a favorable climate in Texas to do their abusive form of “treatment” and to make lots of money to give in campaign contributions. They got lucrative contracts to do rehabilitation on Teens with substance abuse problems. They got contracts to handle the psychiatric needs of prisoners including using prisoners as guinea pigs for dangerous SSRI drugs in clinical trials. They got legislation that protected them from any law suits about their malpractice or abuse and they got control of the supervision and oversight of every medical doctor in the state of Texas through the Peer Review System which was run by ASAM’s founder George Douglas Talbott.
The Judges who awarded the injured patients millions of dollars in punitive damages were unable to find any money at all in the Straight Inc account – all the money had miraculously disappeared into a complex shell game of mortgages and off shore bank accounts.
Dr. Richard Irons MD, Sex Addictionist and self proclaimed sex addict who got his credentials from the ASAM and is now in charge of the Professional Renewal Center – With FASAM fake board certification and clean up of his record of sex addiction, they were able to set up a psychiatric center to treat sex offenders in the professions – this includes MD’s as well as JD’s including Judges and even FBI agents. This was fake treatment for sexual addiction problems, giving the person some other problem and then “monitoring” them as disabled. This sham organization was able to clean up a person’s sexual past for a hefty fee.

Those pesky law suits brought by Straight patients regarding abuse and neglect and even psychological torture just disappeared in the wake of the public’s pronouncement of George Bush as President of the United States.

[...] Wesley Fager was always a well thought out man. He never said anything until he had fact checked it over and over again. When Wesley spoke you knew it was true. People commented that he could be “long winded” at times but you had to listen to the entire background of the story he was telling you to understand the point of the story and he wanted you to know he had researched the hell out of every aspect of the story.
AARC is a mirror of the Pathway Family Center programs here in the US. From 4 locations a few months ago, there are only two open now, Indy, and Portage. The WISH TV 8 ITeam investigation here in Indianapolis is continuing, as well as formal complaints with the Indiana Dept Mental Health and the Indiana Atty General office.

Good people are working very hard behind the scenes here and former clients/parents are stepping up to the plate.

Never Give Up, EVER!
